Australian Tennis star Nick Kyrgios has dropped a big hint about ending his career and announcing retirement. Kyrgios is often considered one of the most talented players on the circuit. But the Aussie international has faced criticism regarding his commitment towards the sport as he tends to miss major tournaments on a regular basis.

Coming back to Kyrgios’ recent revelation, the 2022 Wimbledon finalist is currently in Los Angeles at the Ultimate Tennis Showdown. Here, while speaking to World number 10 Frances Tiafoe and Frenchman Jeremy Chardy, Kyrgios talked about how is the current hectic tennis schedule as he said, “Bro, the sport’s crazy. The schedule is out of control.”
Further, Nick Kyrgios spoke about his future in professional tennis by stating that he will not be playing after turning 33. He further joked about being Tiafoe’s full-time coach after retiring. He said, “No chance. No way. Bro, there’s no chance I’m playing until 33. Kyrgios playing until 33 is insane! I’m not playing until 33. Nah, I promise you, when I’m gone, you’ll never see me again. I think I might just coach. Coach Foe (Frances Tiafoe) full time.”
Nick Kyrgios withdraws from Citi Open 2023
Talking about Nick Kyrgios's participation in competitions, the 28-year-old has pulled out of the upcoming Citi Open 2023. Kyrgios has missed every Grand Slam in 2023 citing injuries to his knee, foot and wrist. So far this year, Kyrgios has played only once during his straight-sets loss at the Stuttgart Open in June. Joining Kyrgios, World No. 3 Daniil Medvedev has withdrawn from the tournament.
