New Orleans Pelicans forward Zion Williamson has been injury prone in the NBA since he became the number one overall draft pick. The fitness of the 22-year-old will be in the spotlight for the upcoming season after he managed to turn up for just 29 games in the 2022-23 campaign while blanking in 2021-22 altogether.

Zion Williamson hasn’t been having the best of times off the court either, after Moriah Mills, an adult film star threatened to release a sex tape of herself and the Pelicans star. The tirade reportedly occurred after he had announced the pregnancy of his girlfriend Ahkeema on a YouTube video.

While appearing on the “Gil’s Arena” podcast with the former All-Star guard Gilbert Arenas of the Washington Wizards, he talked about inculcating the fitness regimen of LeBron James to get his body right for the upcoming NBA season. He said, “I would say it’s more of just locking in on flexibility and band work because I think it’s those things that’ll be able to keep me on the court longer than versus just losing a bunch of weight, coming to play and not being able to maintain it.”

“Bron got the blueprint, I'm gonna try my best to follow it,” Williamson opined.

During his chat with Gilbert Arenas, Zion Williamson alluded to his struggles with managing weight, which has adversely affected his game, especially while making explosive movements on the court.

He was quoted as saying, “Since this you, I will be real. There were times when I wasn’t, that shit’s hard, man. I'm 20-22, have a lot of money, feel like all the money in the world, man. It is hard. I am at that point now because of certain things and the wisdom around me. I don't wanna say older, but the people around me with wisdom put me on game to certain things and go from there.”
