Cricket Aus tralia have called up uncapped Big Bash League stars Jake Fraser-McGurk and Xavier Bartlett for the three-game ODI series against West Indies. Both these teams are currently part of a two-game Test series where the Aussies have taken a 1-0 lead after winning the first game by ten wickets.
Jake Fraser-McGurk has been touted as Australia's next upcoming batting star and had a remarkable 2023-24 BBL season with the Melbourne Renegades while scoring 257 runs at a strike rate of 158.64. Similarly, Xavier Bartlett has had a breakout BBL with the dominant Brisbane Heat.

These two uncapped stars come into the side after Glenn Maxwell and Jhye Richardson were ruled out of the upcoming ODI series against West Indies. Cricket Australia has decided to rest Maxwell while Richardson is out due to an injury.
For the unversed, the three-match ODI series will kick off on February 2 in Melbourne. Subsequent matches will be held in Sydney's SCG and the Manuka Oval in Canberra. Further, the Australian team will be led by Steve Smith.
