Lionel Messi made his Inter Miami debut against Cruz Azul on Saturday in the Leagues Cup as a number of celebrities marked their attendance to watch him play. The list continued in his second game against Atlanta United, which included Camila Cabello, DJ Khaled, and Sean Combs at the DRV PNK Stadium on Wednesday.
The 26-year-old singer shared multiple photos of herself at the DRV PNK Stadium in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, where she attended the Leagues Cup game between Inter Miami FC and Atlanta United FC. Messi led his team in pink to a 4-0 victory by scoring twice and winning over his supporters.

Cabello wrote on her social media handle, “Fan girl mode was fully unlocked when I saw @leomessi – obviously the GOAT, but also so kind and generous with his energy.” In one of the images, she can be seen talking to Messi, who was on the other side of the fence, in the team shelter. She also thanked David Beckham, who has an ownership share in Messi’s club Inter Miami, for giving her the fangirl experience.
Lionel Messi consoles DJ Khaled’s crying son
The popular musician, DJ Khaled also met Lionel Messi before the match started in the stadium, as he handed over his son, Asahd. He introduced the young one excitedly to Messi and said, “That’s Messi, that’s Messi. Asahd soon followed Messi onto the pitch where he was one of the mascots.
As DJ Khaled’s son walked into the stadium, holding Messi’s hand, Messi was welcomed by a massive roar from the fans. The toddler, not used to such loud noises, was disturbed by this and began to cry. Messi saw this and was consoling the kid patiently by patting his shoulders. Messi, who is a father to three sons, Mateo, Thiago, and Ciro was seen placing both his hands on the shoulders of the boy and speaking to him, as a result, the boy was visibly relaxed after a while.
Talking about the game, Inter Miami were in the driver’s seat since the beginning, as the Argentine started the scoring in the eighth minute of the game. He scored another goal in the 22nd minute and completed his brace. Robert Taylor scored another brace by scoring in the 44th and 53rd minute and gave Miami a comprehensive lead of 4-0 over Atlanta United and essentially sealing the game. The World Cup winner now has three goals in two games in the MLS, the first one coming against Cruz Azul, which was a last-minute freekick.
