The Portugal football team captain looked confident as he clarified that he intends to surpass the top content creator’s record in two years' timeline.
Notably, CR7’s comments come after he set a new record of reaching one million subscribers in just 90 minutes of his channel’s launch. The channel then hit 50 million subscribers in less than a week, marking another milestone on the platform and now has his eyes set on dethroning MrBeast, who boasts 313 million subscribers on his YouTube channel.
Although the 39-year-old has a long way to reach that target, he was asked if he could surpass MrBeast to become the most followed individual. Speaking before Portugal’s UEFA Nations League match against Croatia, Ronaldo replied, “MrBeast on YouTube? In two years, let’s try to beat him.” It not only left the football sensation in splits, but even the people present inside the room burst out in laughter.
