1st Semi-Final of WC 2023 will be played between the first-place team and the fourth-place team in the points table at Mumbai, while 2nd Semi-Final of WC 2023 will be played between the second-place team and third place team at Kolkata. So, if India ends as table toppers, then Pakistan should finish in second (or) third position in the points table. India will play Semi-final 1 at Mumbai and Pakistan will play Semi-final 2 at Kolkata.
If India ends in second position in ODI WC 2023 points table, then Pakistan should finish as table toppers or fourth position in the points table. India will play Semi-final 1 at Mumbai and Pakistan will play Semi-final 2 at Kolkata.
If India ends in third position in ODI WC 2023 points table, then Pakistan should finish as table toppers or fourth position in the points table. India will play Semi-final 1 at Mumbai and Pakistan will play Semi-final 2 at Kolkata.
If India ends in fourth position in ODI WC 2023 points table, then Pakistan should finish in second (or) third position. This allows, India to play Semi-final 1 at Mumbai and Pakistan will play Semi-final 2 at Kolkata.
If any one of the above four instances happens, and then both India and Pakistan win Semifinal 1 and Semifinal 2 of WC 2023 then the Men in Blue will face Pakistan in the finals of ODI WC 2023.
