India have started the Super 4s stage of Asia Cup 2023 in a dominating fashion by defeating Pakistan with a huge margin of 228 runs. But in their next match against Sri Lanka on same venue, they were seen struggling to play the spinners of Sri Lanka. Dunith Wellalage picked his maiden five-wicket haul in his ODI career, dismissing the Indian top-order.

Here, in this article we will see whether if India would be able to qualify for final of Asia Cup 2023 even if they lose their remaining matches against Sri Lanka and Bangladesh in Super Fours stage of this tournament.

Remaining schedule of Asia Cup 2023 (Super Fours):
India vs Sri Lanka in Colombo (RPS) - 12th Sept
Sri Lanka vs Pakistan in Colombo (RPS) - 14th Sep
India vs Bangladesh in Colombo (RPS) - 15th Sep

If India loses their remaining two games, then they will end up at two points in the table.

- Sri Lanka will reach four points, if they defeat India.
- Bangladesh will also get two points, if they defeat India.

- Pakistan already have two points in the table after their victory against Bangladesh.

So, for India to reach final with two points, then Pakistan should stay at two points only as Sri Lanka already have four points in the table.

Hence, the only route for Team India to reach final with two points is by Sri Lanka beating Pakistan on 14th September in Colombo.

India, Pakistan, and Bangladesh will stand at two points and team with better NRR will play Sri Lanka in the final, who have six points in the table.
