A video is doing circles around on social media where the 2011 World Cup-winning captain could be seen getting a warm welcome in a hotel, stating that he is still one of the most loved cricketers. Though the name or location of the hotel is not clear yet, the video has left fans speculating if the former wicketkeeper will attend the India vs Afghanistan ODI World Cup 2023 clash in Delhi.
Speaking of India's campaign at the 2023 season of the World Cup, the hosts kick-started their campaign on a triumphant note. Rohit Sharma and Co. took down the five-time world champions Australia with a margin of six wickets on Sunday, October 8. In their next fixture, the Men in Blue play against Afghanistan at the Arun Jaitley Stadium on October 11, Wednesday.
