The  ICC Champions Trophy is scheduled to be played in Pakistan and UAE from February 19 to March 9. With its last edition being played in 2017, the 50-over tournament is coming back after an eight-year hiatus. It is going to be the next big ICC event after the 2024 T20 World Cup, which was held in the West Indies and the USA.

The Champions Trophy is also called the mini-World Cup as the top eight ODI teams compete against each other in this tournament. This time, the eight participating teams of the Champions Trophy 2025 are decided according to the points table of the 2023 ODI World Cup, held in India. The teams which finished among the top eight after the league stage, have qualified for the Champions Trophy 2025, along with the hosts Pakistan.
