Playing against Turkish giants, Galatasaray, Copenhagen FC scraped through a 1-0 win which saw midfielder Lukas Lerager score in the 58th minute. But it wasn't a walk in the park for the Danish side as Lerager went on to get a red card after receiving his second yellow card in the 90th minute. Hence after finishing the game on the winning side, Copenhagen FC announced: " There is free beer and water on the way out of the Parken."
Talking about this historic win, manager Jacob Neestrup praised the supporters for their undying support throughout the campaign. Neestrup told club media: "So I am happy and proud on behalf of the players, the fans and every corner of Copenhagen. This also means a lot for Danish football. An evening like this in Parken… well, I've said it many times before, and I'd like to say it again.

"Parken can do something special in these evenings, which you don't see in many other places in Europe. That support really means a lot when we go onto the field, and again tonight we are 12 against 11. It's no coincidence that we have picked up six points in the group here and were very close to a seventh against Bayern."
