The third Test of the five-match series between India and England will be played at the Saurashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Rajkot. After England won the first Test in Hyderabad through a great comeback, India responded with an impressive victory of their own in the second Test in Visakhapatnam to level the series at 1-1. Both India and England have played some quality cricket, coupled with some lacklustre play in between, which is why it is very hard to predict where the pendulum might shift during the Rajkot Test.

Yashasvi Jaiswal has been the standout batter for the Indian cricket team in the first two Test matches, scoring a breathtaking double hundred to set up the victory in Visakhapatnam, while Shubman Gill showed glimpses of his best with a century at the same venue as well. The bowling attack for India has been spearheaded by Jasprit Bumrah, who has picked up 15 wickets in the two Tests, while Ravichandran Ashwin, Axar Patel, and Kuldeep Yadav, have chipped-in with key wickets at important times too.
England’s batting lineup hasn’t been at their best in the first two Test matches, with the likes of Ollie Pope and Zak Crawley making contributions of real substance.
