In a tragic and disheartening incident, a young cricketer from Telangana died while playing a local tournament on April 7, Friday. The 37-old cricketer, Shanigaram Anjaneyulu, suffered a heart attack while he was preparing to bowl during the match. As per local reports, he collapsed suddenly during the match, and was immediately rushed to the hospital, where doctors declared him dead.

Anjaneyulu was competing in the KMR Cricket Tournament and came from the Karimnagar district of Telangana. Survived by his wife and two children, he was a bowler and suffered a cardiac arrest while he was preparing to deliver.

As per reports by Telangana Today, his fellow cricketers administered him CPR and immediately called the ambulance. However, it got too late, and all their efforts went into vain as the young cricketer couldn’t be revived.

He was taken to the Government Hospital Husnabad, where doctors declared him dead. The reports further added that the local police have registered a case in this incident and an investigation is underway. However, this isn’t the first time when a cricketer has died playing on the field. Before this, Nimesh Ahir, a 32-year-old cricketer from Surat also died while playing cricket. The incident took place earlier this year, where the cricketer experienced chest pain and died while being taken to the hospital.
