Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema's personal trainer, Javier Atalaya, has made a sensational claim regarding Frenchman's fitness. Atalaya has revealed that Benzema is working harder than ever on his fitness at 35 years of age and is training so hard that even Portuguese superstar Cristiano Ronaldo would struggle to contend with.

The current
Ballon d’Or holder sustained an injury during Real Madrid’s clash against Valencia.
The striker sat out of the Real Mallorca game last weekend and is likely to be
warming the benches for a few weeks. The 35-year-old is not expected to make it
to the first-leg Champions League clash against Liverpool later this month.
Benzema’s trainer Atalaya has released the star footballer’s fitness
update, while also drawing a comparison to Ronaldo.
"Karim is getting better every day. He is at home,
without having anything to do, and he goes down to the gym to train. The
Frenchman's mentality involves improving every day."
"Even Cristiano could not stand the training that
Benzema does," added Atalaya.
Ronaldo and Benzema secured four Champions League titles and
two La Liga crowns during their time together at Real Madrid.
Earlier, Benzema had revealed that Ronaldo didn’t even congratulate him for winning the Ballon d'Or. However, the Lyon-born rubbished all the reports of him having a rift with Ronaldo. He had stated that not taking photos with the Portuguese star, doesn’t mean they are not doing well.
