Legendary footballer Cristiano Ronaldo has bought the most expensive house in Portugal, which is reportedly worth INR 173 Crores. The development has fuelled speculations over his departure from Manchester United.

In recent times, Ronaldo has been speculated to leave Manchester United due to his tussle with the team manager, Erik ten Hag. As a result, he has been enduring one of the worst phases of his career. In the first Premier League game of Man Utd's against Brighton in August, he started on the bench.

Furthermore, Erin decided to bench Ronaldo in the clash against Manchester City, which resulted in the team’s shattering loss of 3-6. The star footballer left the stadium, minutes before the final whistle during United's 2-0 win over Tottenham Hotspur, owing to being an unused substitute in the entire match.

Ronaldo joined Manchester in 2021 from Juventus in the closing days of the transfer window. From a personal point of view, he was impressed with his performance, but the club could not qualify for the Champions League.

Earlier this year, he opted to join the Champions League team but failed to find a new club. With United adding Antony to their squad a few months back, it has become difficult to have an optimum playing time for Ronaldo. Also, the club is speculated to shell out almost £10 million for terminating Ronaldo’s contract in January, which is expected to run till August 2023.

According to the Sun, Ronaldo’s latest property is situated in the Quinta da Marinha area, spread across 2,729 square metres, three floors, parking space for more than 20 cars, and a heated swimming pool.

The property is just 40 minutes away from the capital, Lisbon. It certainly means he is not far away from Sporting CP, which is one of the finest professional football teams in Portugal. The same club is said to be in contention in securing the services of the five-time Ballon d'Or winner.
