After Portugal's disappointing FIFA World Cup 2022 exit, legendary striker Cristiano Ronaldo wasted no time and returned to the Real Madrid training ground to maintain his fitness. The 37-year-old forward is currently without any club following his Manchester United contract cancellation earlier this month.

The five-time Ballon d'Or winner scored just the first goal for Portugal in the World Cup and became the first player to score at least one goal in five different FIFA World Cups. Portugal coach Fernando Santos started Cristiano Ronaldo on the bench for A Selecao's knockouts fixtures.

While Ronaldo is in the search of a new destination after leaving Man United, the top international goal scorer has shown his intend to keep his fitness as he was spotted at the Los Blancos training ground.  As per Spanish outlet Revelo, the striker has gone back to Real Madrid’s Valdebebas training ground to work on an individual programme.

Cristiano Ronaldo joined Real Madrid from Manchester United in 2009 and played his last season in 2018, winning his fifth UEFA Champions League title. For the Santiago Bernabeu club, Ronaldo played 438 matches and scored a total of 451 goals across all competitions to become Real Madrid's all-time top goal scorer.

Many fans wish to see Ronaldo back in the La Liga, however, Real Madrid and Atletico de Madrid haven't shown any interest in the striker. Reportedly, Saudi Arabian club  Al-Nassr offered a massive amount for Cristiano Ronaldo's transfer, but the Real Madrid top scorer denied the rumours of joining the middle east club.

Meanwhile, France defeated Morocco, who beat Portugal in their previous match, to qualify for the FIFA World Cup 2022 final for the second straight time. France will face Argentina in the World Cup finals while Morocco will square off against Croatia for the third place fixture.
