Amidst all the chaos surrounding the possible retirement of former Indian skipper MS Dhoni following their defeat to the Royal Challengers Bengaluru in a do-or-die encounter, CEO of CSK, Kasi Viswanathan has confirmed that the 42-year-old legendary keeper hasn’t conveyed any retirement decision to the management or franchise, as of now.
It was speculated everywhere that Dhoni has played his swansong innings in his career after he was unable to get CSK over the line in a must-win encounter against Faf du Plessis’ side. Following the game, Dhoni seemed to be in agony as the former Chennai skipper walked to the dressing room without even completing the post-match formalities of shaking hands.
With the talks on his possible farewell fueled, the CEO of the CSK franchise Kasi Viswanathan has confirmed that Dhoni hasn’t conveyed any decision yet to the management, as reported by Cricbuzz. “He has not told us anything. He does not tell us such things anyway. He just decides,” the CSK CEO said.
Additionally, a CSK official is also uncertain about his future as he said, “Dhoni has not told anybody in CSK that he is quitting. He had told the management that he will wait for a couple of months before taking a final call,” according to TOI.
