After Australian fast bowler Josh Hazlewood pulled out of IPL 2021, Chennai Super Kings are reportedly keen on roping in New Zealand's Scott Kuggeleijn. Hazlewood cited wanting to have some rest and spend some time at home as the reason for his decision. Meanwhile, the Kiwi fast-bowler, last featured in the IPL in 2019 for the same franchise but went unsold in the Players Auction this year.

2 matches, 2 wickets in IPL 2019

The 29-year-old played just two matches donning Chennai's iconic yellow. In those matches, he picked up two wickets, going at an economy of 8.87. Overall, in 120 T20s, the Kiwi International has picked 118 wickets. In addition, he has also scored 729 runs at a strike rate of over 130. With Hazlewood's decision, he could be a handy inclusion for the MS Dhoni-led side.

Mitchell Marsh also pulls out citing bubble fatigue

Other than CSK's Hazlewood, SRH all-rounder Mitchell Marsh also pulled out of the tournament citing bubble fatigue. The Australian cricketer has been replaced by England batsman Jason Roy in the SRH squad. Owing to the 50-day long tournament, which included a hard quarantine and restricted movement throughout the course of the competition, many players are withdrawing their names from the T20 tournament.
