After successfully bidding on Rachin Ravindra for INR 1.80 Crore at the IPL 2024 auction, Chennai Super Kings welcomed him by sharing his old pic with Ravindra Jadeja on X. The highly famous photo had Rachin Ravindra and Ravindra Jadeja standing in perfect sync after India versus New Zealand Test at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai two years ago.

Chennai Super Kings managed to secure the services of Rachin Ravindra after a bidding tussle with Delhi Capitals and Punjab Kings. Known for his all-round ability, the New Zealand cricketer is a player for the future for CSK, who has already impressed one and all with an impressive showing in the recently concluded ODI World Cup 2023 in India.
The official X account of Chennai Super Kings posted the epic photo of Rachin Ravindra and Ravindra Jadeja standing together, captioning it “Ravindra^2,” followed by a yellow heart emoji. The picture was snapped in December 2021 after India defeated New Zealand by 372 runs at home to clinch the two-match Test series by 1-0.
Since then, Rachin Ravindra has evolved into one of the top all-rounders in cricket at the age of 24 years old. Last month, the left-handed batter put together 578 runs in 10 matches, surpassing Jonny Bairstow to become the highest scorer in a debut ODI World Cup, and he picked up five wickets in the tournament too.
