Australian all-rounder Dan Christian has announced retirement from the Big Bash League. The 39-year-old took to Twitter to announce his decision to retire from the T20 league after the 2022-23 season. It is to be noted that the Aussie is a part of the Sydney Sixers side who are having a dream season with four wins from six matches.
Christian took to Twitter to share an emotional post with a message that read, “Yesterday at training I told my Sydney Sixers teammates that I’ll be retiring from playing at the end of the BBL season. Sydney Smash tonight, followed by our last round game against the Hurricanes, and then the finals.”
In the message he also said that he has had a dream run throughout his career. Christian also added that he would love to get another title under his belt before signing off his BBL career and will be happy even if they do not win this edition.
The Australian cricketer has amassed 5809 runs and bagged 280 wickets from 405 T20s for 18 different teams, including Australia .
