The zombie action role-playing game, Dead Island 2 is expected to launch soon as Amazon has listed the game for pre-order. The game was in developing stage for quite a few years and finally a leak from Amazon suggested that the game is set to launch in February next year.

The PS4 and PS5 preorder listings also claimed the expected release date is February 3, 2023 as the game is up for preorder at Amazon. The sequel of the 2011 edition of Dead Island was officially announced in 2014 with its original release date was set for the following year.

Apart from the base game, the Day 1 edition includes, Memories of Banoi Pack--Banoi War Club, Memories of Banoi--Baseball Bat, Weapon Perk--balanced, and a Personal space skill card. Dead Island 2 will feature a "brand-new skill system that allows you to re-spec instantly and try out the craziest builds."

The game features dozens of distinct zombie types, each with their own mutations, attacks and hundreds of LA-themed variants. The description has been removed from the Dead Island 2 listing, which stated the game allows users to choose from six unique characters each with their own unique attributes.
