It has been a decade now since India won an ICC title. Ever since that Champions Trophy win against England, India have been knocked out of every ICC tournament. One of those tournaments was the 2019 World Cup when India were knocked out after losing to New Zealand in the semifinal. No Indian cricket fan forgets the horrors of 2019. That MS Dhoni runout and India collapsing in the run chase still haunts Indian cricket fans.

KL Rahul, Rohit Sharma, and Virat Kohli were dismissed after scoring solitary runs. Meanwhile, Dinesh Karthik scored 6 runs off 25 balls before Jimmy Neesham pulled off a stunner at point to dismiss the Indian wicketkeeper batter. Rishabh Pant (32), Hardik Pandya (32), MS Dhoni (50), and Ravindra Jadeja (77) kept India alive but New Zealand kept their nerves and won the match by 18 runs.

Now, as another ODI World Cup is scheduled to take place this year, the talks around India’s performance in the previous edition are eminent. Meanwhile, Dinesh Karthik was left embarrassed when a fan shared the screenshot of his scorecard in the semifinal clash against New Zealand during an #AskDK session.

The fan asked Karthik to leave a one-word comment on his performance in that game. “One word about Ur goated inning in SF,” tweeted the user. DK, meanwhile, asked the fan to delete this screenshot. “Delete this right now,” replied Karthik with a hand-on-the-head emoji.

Coming to Dinesh Karthik’s career, the veteran wicketkeeper batter has not announced his retirement yet as he represented India at the T20 World Cup 2022. However, chances of another comeback look impossible for Karthik as he is already nearing his 40s. Nevertheless, the cricketer has already made his commentary debut and will be commentating in the upcoming Border Gavaskar Trophy.
