Rinku Singh, who has now become a household name in India, was finally handed his international debut ahead of India’s first T20I against Ireland. Rinku Singh had a stellar IPL season this year, where he impressed the world with his finishing skills.
Batting lower down the order for KKR, Rinku amassed 474 runs, at an outstanding strike rate of almost 150 last season. His knock of 48* off 21 while chasing 205 against the then-defending champions GT. With 29 runs needed off the last over, Rinku unleashed a series of five sixes and sealed the game in the most heroic fashion. He was finally rewarded for his heroics on Friday, as he was handed the national cap.
