The Indian team is gearing up for the fourth Test of the ongoing Border-Gavaskar Trophy at Melbourne Cricket Ground starting on December 26. Ahead of the much-awaited boxing day Test, wicketkeeper Dhruv Jurel emerged victorious on team India’s fielding drill a few days before the match. Notably, the team management announced a cash prize of 300 dollars for the  standout performer during the fielding session. 

Dhruv Jurel stood out among all the Indian players during the fielding session and ended up winning the prize of 300 dollars. The BCCI posted a video of the drill on their social media account with a caption “Target hitting with points system, 3 groups led by young captains, Cash reward on the line, Fun, energy and intensity - #TeamIndia gears up for the Melbourne Test with a lively fielding drill with Fielding coach T Dilip.”

Fielding coach T Dilip lead Indian team fielding session

The fielding drill was led by India’ fielding coach T Dilip where the players were divided into the group of three teams. The fielding drill was organized to keep on fostering a competitive spirit among the players."The key objective for me today was getting all together and making sure that before we kick off into the nets we get some energy going, and together as a group when we work, it’s outstanding," T Dilip explained the feilding the session as quoted in India Today.

The ongoing BGT is currently levelled at 1-1 after three matches. The third Test at Gabba, Brisbane ended in a draw after India fought hard to avoid follow-on. The next two Test matches will be played in Melbourne and Sydney respectively. India need to win one of the remaining two games to retain the Border-Gavaskar Trophy.
