The elite international track and field circuit, the 2024 Diamond League, will kick off its 15-event schedule in April with two events in China. The season will begin on April 20 in Xiamen, and the Shanghai competition will follow a week later. The Doha Diamond League, which has historically signalled the start of the season, is scheduled for May 10.
On May 25, the Prefontaine Classic will resume its usual springtime spot in the calendar after serving this year as the Diamond League final for the first time in history. The season will take a month off following the London Athletics Meet on July 20 to prepare for the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris before returning on August 22 with Athletissima in Lausanne.
The Diamond League finals will be the Memorial van Damme tournament in Brussels on September 13 and 14.
