India’s stand-in skipper Hardik Pandya slammed the West Indies cricket board (Windies Cricket) in the post-match presentation that the hosts need to work on. While talking in the post-match presentation, Pandya, who played a match-winning knock of 70 off 52 deliveries expressed his concern over the arrangements made by the hosts.

While hailing the Brian Lara Cricket Academy for being one of the nicest grounds that he has played on in the Caribbean, he added that there are several things that the board needs to take note of. However, he clarified that it is not luxury that he is referring to but some basic necessities.

“This was the nicest grounds we have played. Things can be better when we come to West indies next time. From travelling to managing a lot of things. Last year also, some hiccups happened. I think it’s time for West Indies Cricket to take note of it and make sure that when a team travels…. We don’t ask for luxury but we need some basic necessities taken care of,” he quoted.
However, Pandya clarified that he enjoyed coming and playing “some good cricket” here.
It is to be noted that these remarks from the Indian all-rounder comes after the Indian cricketers expressed their displeasure for late-night travel and reportedly wrote to the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI).

With Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma missing a place in the shortest format, Hardik Pandya is set to lead Team India in the five-match T20I series, starting August 3.
