Irfan Pathan was one of the finest left-arm pacers in Indian cricket history. His hat-trick against Pakistan was one of the highlights of his career. Apart from making an impact in red-ball cricket, Pathan had a fair share of contribution in white-ball cricket as well. However, the all-rounder did not have the desired end as he had to retire after getting ignored for years. Pathan was not considered for selection after 2012 and eventually, the India all-rounder decided to retire in 2020.

But as the craze for cricket in India keeps on increasing, Legends League Cricket was introduced featuring all retired cricketers. Pathan also got picked by one of the four franchises for the second edition of the tournament. The former India all-rounder is currently representing Bhilwara Kings in LLC 2 and having a great time with his LLC franchise. The left-arm pacer has shown with his performances that he is still worthy and can trouble the opposition with his skills.

Seeing Pathan perform fine enough, one of the fans looked frustrated about the fact that the all-rounder can no more play for India. He vented out his frustration by blaming Mahendra Singh Dhoni and the then-team management for Pathan’s early retirement. Pathan also read the tweet and replied to it. The 37-year-old showed magnanimity in his response as he wrote, "Don't blame anyone. Thank you for love."

Notably, Pathan retired from international cricket after representing India in 173 matches across the three formats. In 29 Tests, Pathan took 100 wickets and scored 1105 runs. In 120 ODIs, he hit 1544 runs and scalped 173 wickets. In 24 T20Is, he took 28 wickets and scored 172 runs. Now, as the cricketer stands retired, he is a regular in the commentary panel for the India matches.
