Popular YouTuber and streamer Dr Disrespect revealed that he received a $10 million contract from Kick. However, the two-time champion said that he has demanded a $50 million contract and remained steadfast about it and turned down the offer. Recently, competition between Kick and Twitch has grown intense, and with the latter securing deals with high-profile streamers like xQc and Amouranth, Kick has been trying hard to negotiate with popular Dr Disrespect.
The streamer recently revealed that the streaming platform has offered him a $10 million per year contract. However, the steamer said, “It’s just not enough. I’m not budging from that one. Fifty million you get the two-time. If not, I’m not interested in moving.” The streamer justified his demands by stating the strength of the community, his established presence on YouTube, and his business ventures.
He added, “The community is too strong here. We’re established. The numbers are just outrageous. We’re looking good, we’re feeling good. I’m in cruise control driving multiple Lamborghinis. I’m in no rush.” Not only this, but he also emphasised his portfolio including his gaming studio and third batch of his Black Steel Bourbon for demanding such a high price.
The steamer went on to reveal that unless the platform agrees to his offer, he will remain on YouTube, where he has found ample success and rose to fame with a dedicated fanbase.
