Jake Paul is all set to take on UFC legend Nate Diaz on August 5, Saturday, with an aim to get his boxing career back on track. Ahead of one of the most anticipated clashes, the Canadian pop star Drake placed USD 250K bet on Nate Diaz. The global rap superstar placed the bet to win USD 1 million on Diaz over the former YouTuber.
Hence, for Drake to win USD 1 million, Diaz would have to win the clash over the Problem Child. Drake posted the Stake betting slip on social media on August 4, Friday. He wrote, “Jake is a dog, but I can never bet against a Diaz brother. That's just how I was raised." Drake’s decision might come from the fact that he bet USD 400K during Paul’s last fight with Tommy Fury.
However, Fury emerged victorious in the bout by a split second, and the pop-star faced a loss of USD 400K. Notably, this would be Diaz’s professional boxing debut in his fight against Jake Paul on August 5. It will be a 10-round fight in the 185 pounds category, slated to be hosted at American Airlines Center in Dallas, Texas.
With this fight, Diaz will become the fourth former UFC star to square off against Paul in the boxing ring. Before this fight, Paul has taken down big names such as Anderson Silva, Tyron Woodley, and Ben Askren. Needless to say, the Problem Child holds an undefeated record against former UFC fighters, and he would wish to continue the streak in the upcoming bout also.
