Albanian pop star Dua Lipa is likely to perform at the closing ceremony of the ICC ODI World Cup 2023 in Ahmedabad. After over six weeks of top-notch sporting action, the multi-national marquee cricket tournament will come to a close on November 19 at the world’s largest cricket stadium, Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. In the final match of the tournament, hosts for the season, India will lock horns with five-time winners Australia for the coveted trophy.

The ‘Levitating’ singer earlier appeared in a fun segment with the official broadcasters of the CWC '23, Star Sports, where she answered some questions from the cricketers. Ahead of the first semi-final clash, Star Sports took to Twitter and said, "The Pitch is perfect as Dua Lipa joins the Cricket World Cup spectacle taking questions from KL Rahul, Shubman Gill, Kane Williamson, Daryl Mitchell & about the song she'd perform at the #CWC23 closing ceremony!”
While several cricket experts said that Lipa won't be performing at the closing ceremony, there is no confirmation from the officials yet. Another report by Jagran said that Bollywood singer Jontia Gandhi along with music composer Pritam will take on the stage during the closing ceremony.
Notably, Lipa is an artist of both English and Albanian descent, known for her hit numbers, including ‘Dance The Night’, ‘Don’t Start Now’, ‘Be the One’, and more. The 28-year-old has been adorned with several awards and recognitions which include six Brit Awards, three Grammy Awards, and two Guinness World Records. Coming back to the tournament, while India secured their final berth by taking down previous finalists New Zealand, Kangaroos defeated South Africa to make it to the ODI World Cup final for the eighth time.
