The popular battle royale title Apex Legends' publishers, EA games have announced the details for the third year of Apex Legends Global Series (ALGS), the official esports series for the battle royale game. The third year of the ALGS will feature LAN tournaments among other updates.
Apart from returning to the LAN tournaments, ALGS Year 3 will bring updates to the Challenger Circuit and new regional finals for the users. Additionally, EA games have announced the teams and prize pool for the ALGS Pro League. The prize money for the ALGS Year 3 Championship is set to be around $5 million.
The ALGS Year 3 will feature two tiers, ALGS Pro League and the Challenger Circuit for professional and semi-professional teams respectively. Additionally, the ALGS Championship will host three LAN competitions, starting with Split 1 Pro League Playoffs in early 2023 followed by Split 2 Pro league Playoffs in 2023 spring while the ALGS Year 3 Championship will take place in the summer of 2023.
Fnatic, Detonator, Alliance, Natus Vincere, 100 Thieves, Team Liquid, TSM, G2 and Team Singularity, among others are the teams to compete in the ALGS Year 3 Pro League.
The Pro League consists of 30 teams from each five ALGS regions and will return on November 6, 2022. The winning teams of each Challenger Circuit will get a chance to compete in the Split 2 Pro League Qualifier or the Last Chance Qualifier.
