After these early wickets, opener Tanzid Hasan and Mehidy Hasan Miraz steadied the ship but couldn't take the score too far. After losing these in-form batters, the match was halted due to rain which saw the fixture reduced to a 37-over-side affair.
As the play restarted, after two-and-a-half-hour interval, the English ran through the lower order and reduced Bangladesh to a 188-run total. Then in the second innings, England also had a difficult start as Dawid Malan was dismissed after just balls in his innings.
But Joe Root with Jonny Bairstow and Jos Buttler, carried England out as the baz-ball approach, despite losing wickets, dominated the Bangladeshi bowlers. After these stunning cameos, England lost Liam Livingstone cheaply but Moeen Ali stepped up to showcase his class.
The spin-bowling all-rounder launched a barrage of boundaries and was dismissed at a score of 56 in 39 balls with two fours and six sixes as he took the Three Lions just a few runs. Then in the 25th over, Joe Root hit the final two runs against Mahmudullah to finish off the game and give England a four-wicket win.
