On July 28, Friday, the striker for Manchester City and Norway, Erling Haaland, shared pictures with the BlackPink star Jisoo on his South Korean trip. The unexpected meetup between the footballer and K-pop star has gone viral on social media, drawing huge attention from fans worldwide.
Despite the major difference in their respective professions, both Haaland and Jisoo have amassed an insane fan following for their incredible exploits in the field of sport and music respectively. In the picture, both superstars were seen holding the Manchester City jersey for the 2023-24 season.

Erling Haaland sent out a post on his official Twitter account, with the aforementioned picture, while captioning it, “When in Seoul…,” followed by the emoji of the South Korean flag. The striker will be taking part in the pre-season friendly for Manchester City against Atletico Madrid on July 30th, at the Seoul World Cup Stadium.
Notably, Jisoo, real name Kim Ji-soo, is a part of the South Korean girl group BlackPink, which came to be in 2016, thanks to YG Entertainment. The 28-year-old singer and actress released her first solo music with a music album called, “Me” in March of this year.
The lead single “Flower” reached the number two ranking on the Billboard Global 2000. Meanwhile, the entire “Me” album became the best seller for a female soloist in South Korea, after 1.03 million of its copies got sold within the first two days. It also became the first album to sell over a million copies.
