Former Indian cricketer Gautam Gambhir defended Virat Kohli after being questioned about his strike rate in the IPL 2024. Kohli has played some significant knocks and is currently the holder of the Orange Cap in the 17th edition of the cash-rich league. The former RCB skipper also became the first batter to cross the 500-run mark in the current season of the IPL after his knock against Gujarat Titans.

Despite his knocks, Kohli received criticism for his strike rate ahead of the T20 World Cup 2024. However, Gambhir came into his former teammate’s defence and told Sportskeeda Cricket, “Everything boils down to whether your team is winning matches or not. If your team is winning, then no one talks about it, if you lose you are criticised for it. You try to narrow down the reasons why the team is losing and also every player’s game is different. What ex-players can do or what Maxwell can do, Virat might not be able to do that.”

I cannot pull off even one move: Gautam Gambhir on learning dance from Virat Kohli

Gautam Gambhir said he would like to learn a few dance moves from his former teammate Virat Kohli. He said, “Even if I want to, I cannot pull off even one move. So if I had to learn something from Virat, it would be his dance moves.” Notably, Kohli and Gambhir were involved in an on-field spat during the 2023 season of the IPL.   However, they ended their feuds in the current season as they shared a hug during one of the clashes between KKR and RCB.
