Former Cleveland Cavaliers and Houston Rockets guard Kevin Porter Jr. is set to join the Greek club PAOK Mateco until the end of the season. Porter Jr. has had a turbulent tenure in the NBA, marred with a few off-court issues like a dressing room bust-up in Cleveland and charges for allegedly assaulting his girlfriend.
The Rockets traded Porter Jr. last October after his assault charges and then the 23-year-old was immediately waived by the Oklahoma City Thunder. Since then, the 23-year-old was a free agent before being picked up by PAOK Mateco for the rest of the season, according to NBA insider Shams Charania and is expected to join the Greek club soon.

PAOK are part of the Basketball Champions League and ranked second in Group G of the Regular Season, but missed progressing to the Round of 16. The Greek side were eliminated by Tofas in a best-of-three Play-In series in January. Down the stretch, the Stathis Nerantzakis-coached team hopes to qualify for the Playoffs of Greece’s Stoiximan Basket League through the Playouts of the Regular Season.
Last season, Porter Jr. averaged 19.2 points, 5.3 rebounds, and 5.7 assists in 59 appearances for the Houston Rockets. Talking about his career, the 23-year-old averages 15.5 points with 4.3 rebounds and 5.0 assists in 196 games.
