Volksparkstadion

The Volksparkstadion, located in Hamburg and with a capacity of 57,030, was built in the early 1950s. Although it is currently the home stadium of Bundesliga club Hamburger SV, it is noteworthy that the club didn't start using it until 1963, when they qualified for the modified Bundesliga.

The stadium we see today was built between 1998 and 2000 to replace the old stadium that was originally constructed for FC Altona, now known as Altona 93, which has fallen to Germany's Regionalliga.
