The Mumbai Indians registered their third win of the tournament in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) on April 18 (Tuesday). The Rohit Sharma-led side beat Sunrisers Hyderabad by 14 runs to register their third win on trot. The match also saw Sachin Tendulkar’s son, Arjun Tendulkar get his maiden IPL wicket, which came on the second last delivery on the innings.
However, a stance in the match grabbed a lot of eyeballs as umpire Nitin Menon took a review for caught behind without even Mi skipper Rohit Sharma appealing for it. This incident took place on the fourth ball of his second over. With Rahul Tripathi on the crease, he almost flicked the ball with the wicketkeeper claiming it.
At this moment, the on-field umpire Nitin Menon did not signal for a wicket or a wide but just moved towards the other umpire and started communicating for a review. This moment drew a lot of mixed reactions from the fans as both Ishan Kishan and Arjun Tendulkar looked puzzled to what has happened.
