Fastest 100s in IPL
Former cricketer and Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) legend Chris Gayle boasts a record for the fastest hundred in the IPL and also smashed the highest individual score in the history of the league. The left-hander reached the 100-run mark in just 30 balls during a match against Pune Warriors India at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium on April 23, 2013. He went on to score a record 175 runs off 66 balls smashing 13 fours and 17 sixes during his iconic knock.
On the other hand, Yusuf Pathan has a record for smashing the fastest hundred in the IPL by an Indian player and comes second in the overall list of the fastest IPL hundreds. The elder Pathan brother smashed a hundred off just 37 balls while playing for Rajasthan Royals in a match against Mumbai Indians at Brabourne Stadium on March 13, 2010. However, his record century went in vain as MI won the high-scoring encounter by four runs.
