Former boxing champion Floyd Mayweather saved 70 families affected from Maui Fires that broke out earlier this week in Hawaii. The 15-time undefeated world champion not only helped the affected families in evacuating safely, but also provided them with shelter and food while they were away from their homes. Known for his philanthropic doings, it goes without saying that the boxing legend emerged as a ray of hope in the times of natural disaster that displaced hundreds of people.

There are several reports that claim that Mayweather financed the relocation of severely impacted families. In addition to this, the 46-year-old arranged for hotel accommodation, proper food along with clothing for the evacuated individuals.

Apart from this, a report by TMZSports added that the former boxer has been partnering with H&M to get clothing for the families that have lost their belongings in the wildfire. Speaking of the wildfire, the disaster that broke out in the Maui region of Hawaii resulted in more than 50 deaths by August 10. Not only this, but it also forced many residents to flee their homes.

Mayweather, who competed in professional boxing from 1996 to 2017 decided to do his bit for the affected. While competing, the Michigan-born fought in almost all categories, right from Welterweight to Featherweight. He won a bronze medal in the featherweight division in the 1996 Olympics, three U.S. Golden Gloves championships and the U.S. National Championship.
