The footage of Emmanuel Macron, the President of France, chugging down a bottle of beer in 17 seconds, has gone viral online. This moment happened during the victory celebration of Toulouse, who had won the grand final of Stade Toulousain, the domestic league of the French Rugby Federation, at Stade de France in Paris on June 17, Saturday. They defeated La Rochelle with a margin of 29-26 to clinch the title last weekend, after topping the league stage of the 14-team tournament.
In the video, the 45-year-old French President held aloft the bottle of Corona, which was handed to him in the changing room of Toulouse. He was urged on by the players and coaching staff, to chug down the beer in one. Then, just 17 seconds later, Emmanuel Macron, after drinking the beer, slammed the empty bottle on the counter.

Meanwhile, on Saturday night, the seesaw battle between both teams was decided in the final few minutes when the French fly-half Romain Ntamack produced a moment of brilliance. With a close victory against La Rochelle in the final, Toulouse got their hands on the Bouclier de Brennus trophy for the 22nd time.
Over the years, the 45-year-old politician, a massive admirer of sport, has been seen in locker rooms of various French sports teams. He was in attendance at the FIFA World Cup 2022 final at the Lusail Stadium, Qatar, where Argentina defeated France on penalties by 4-2 after both teams were tied 3-3 at the end of extra time.
