France will be taking on Argentina in the final of the FIFA World Cup 2022 at the Lusail Stadium in Qatar. The French entered this tournament as defending champions as they lifted the elusive trophy in Russia in 2018. In 2022, Les Bleus brought out a similar dominant form and ran through their group with top-notch performances. This top-drawer display was more surprising as France was dealing with multiple major injuries ahead of the tournament.

Les Bleus started off their World Cup campaign with a 4-1 victory against Australia and then went on to win their group in spectacular fashion. In the Round of 16, France took down Robert Lewandowski’s Poland with a 3-1 margin. The French team then faced an incredible England team in the quarterfinals where they registered a 2-1 win in a thrilling fixture.

The semi-final was a breeze for Les Bleus as they defeated Morocco 2-0 to enter the final. France is now on the verge of creating history as winning the final will make them the first team to win back-to-back World Cups after Pele’s Brazil in 1962.

So ahead of the final against Argentina, here is France’s starting lineup:

Hugo Lloris (GK) (C); Jules Kounde, Rafael Varane, Dayot Upamecano, Theo Hernandez; Aurelien Tchouaméni, Adrian Rabiot; Ousmane Dembélé, Antoine Griezmann, Kylian Mbappé; Olivier Giroud.
