Free Fire in the Esports World Cup 2025

The announcement was made during the Free Fire World Series (FFWS) Global Finals 2024 on November 24 in Brazil. This will be the second time Free Fire is part of the Esports World Cup. In the 2024 edition, Free Fire’s tournament was held from July 10 to 14. It had a $1 million prize pool. The 2025 event will also happen in Riyadh, but no other details have been shared yet.

Fourth Game Confirmed

Free Fire is now the fourth game confirmed for the EWC 2025, along with:

  • Honor of Kings

  • Call of Duty: Black Ops 6

  • Call of Duty: Warzone

PUBG Mobile is also expected to join the event. Earlier this year, PUBG Mobile announced a three-year partnership with the Esports World Cup Foundation. Its official inclusion might be revealed during the PMGC 2024 Global Finals in London.

The FFWS 2024 was held in Brazil, where home team Fluxo won the championship. Even though they finished 8th in the Point Rush stage and started with no advantage, they secured three BOOYAHS in the Grand Finals to claim the title.

The Esports World Cup is organized by the Esports World Cup Foundation, supported by Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund. It’s a multi-title event that brings together top esports games and players
