With the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 kickstarting with the bang this weekend, Sunday, March 23 saw some enthralling clashes. In the first match of double-header Sunday, Sunrises Hyderabad thrashed Rajasthan Royals, registering 44-run victory, whereas five-time champions, Chennai Super Kings surpassed the Mumbai Indians challenge to get their maiden win of the season.

However, all eyes were on the second match, seeing one of the greatest of the game, MS Dhoni return to the field after almost a year, it was their skipper Ruturaj Gaikwad and opener Rachin Ravindra who guided the home side to a comfortable four-wicket win. The New Zealand all-rounder hit the winning runs for CSK, finishing the game with a maximum.

Chennai Super Kings (CSK) will next take on Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai on Friday, March 28, whereas Mumbai Indians will take on Gujarat Titans at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Saturday, March 29.
