Over the years, the sport of cricket has witnessed some unorthodox bowling actions. While a few of them even went on to make it big in international cricket like Lasith Malinga and Jasprit Bumrah, others such as Shivil Kaushik are still trying to make a mark on the global cricketing footprints.
However, a video from seemingly a local cricket match has gone viral in which a bowler can be seen bowling with a bizarre action. The pacer could be seen rotating his arms several times before actually delivering the ball. In no time, the video has garnered the attention of cricket experts and former international cricketers with ex-England captain Michael Vaughan sharing the video on social media.
The said bowler's action is sure to remind people of the famous character "Goli" from the iconic Aamir Khan movie "Lagaan." Much like how Goli played by Daya Shankar Pandey manages to trouble the opponent batters, from the action it seems that this pacer could be hard to pick for the batters.
Nevertheless, he now has the validation of none other than Vaughan who has termed it a "proper action."
Take a look:
The video, from what is being reported, was shared on social media for the first time by a user who called it the GOAT of all bowling actions. "Step aside Bumrah, Malinga & Pathirana," the user wrote along with the video.
