The Gujarat Titans (GT) have been handed with a massive blow with their fast bowler Sushant Mishra missing remainder of Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024. Mishra, who was part of the SunRisers Hyderabad squad in IPL 2023, signed in as a replacement of Saurabh Dubey, but did not feature for a single match. Moreover, the Indian youngster was roped in by GT in IPL 2024 auction for INR 2.20 Crore.
However, Mishra did not make his debut for GT and in an unfortunate turn, had to end his campaign early. The Shubman Gill-led side have now named Gurnoor Brar as the replacement for Sushant Mishra. The franchise took to social media to confirm this update with the caption reading, “Gurnoor Brar replaces Sushant Mishra in the squad for the remainder of #TATAIPL2024”.

The 23-year-old Gurnoor Brar was part of the Punjab Kings (PBKS) squad in the IPL 2023. The Indian youngster did make his debut in match against LSG at the PCA Stadium in Mohali and finished with the figures of 3-0-42-0. But ahead of the 2024 edition, Brar was released from the squad.
“Gurnoor has represented Punjab in domestic cricket in five First-Class and one List A match. In 2023, he played a solitary match for the Punjab Kings in the Tata IPL. He signs in for his reserve price of INR 50 lakhs,” IPL revealed in their statement
The Titans, who are still in contention to earn a playoff berth will next take on Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) at the Narendra Modi Stadium on Monday, May 13.
