England national football team’s captain Harry Kane made his 100th game for the country when his side clashed against Finland. Not only this, but the Englishman made sure to make his 100th appearance special as he went on to score two goals as his side registered a 2-0 win over their opponents in the UEFA Nations League Group 2 match. With this record, Jane is now one of only three players to have scored on their 100th appearance for the Three Lions.
Kane was presented with a golden cap and wore golden boots in his 100th match for England. Kane became the first player since former icon Wayne Rooney in November 2014 to earn 100 caps for England. With this, the footballer has joined the likes of legends including Peter Shilton (125), Rooney (120), David Beckham (115), Steven Gerrard (114), Bobby Moore (108), Ashley Cole (107), Bobby Charlton (106), Frank Lampard (106) and Billy Wright (105) in the exclusive club.

Determined to prove people wrong: England football skipper Harry Kane
The footballer said that he was always determined to prove people wrong while stating that somebody doubts you, it makes you more hungry. Kane told ITV, “Whenever you’re doubted throughout your career, it makes you more hungry and determined to prove people wrong and prove to yourself that you can still play at a high level. I always back myself to score goals, especially in a team like this creating the chances we do. I am excited for the future.”
After the match, he said that he always wanted to make his 100th appearance special and score goals. Kane said, “As a striker of course on my 100th cap I wanted to score a goal and make the night as memorable as possible and to win the game as well.” He added, "I've always spoken about when things are not going your way, trying to use that to bring an energy, a motivation and a hunger not just to prove to other people but to prove to yourself that you can keep maintaining this level and keep pushing.”
The Englishman went on to say, "That's what I talk about. There will be a time -- I'm not sure when -- when the level will drop and you won't quite feel the same but while I feel like I do, I want to keep pushing the boundaries. I think I showed that out there tonight and come October, I'll be ready to go again."
