Zimbabwe, in ODI World Cup 2023 Qualifiers, has performed tremendously well by defeating the Netherlands, West Indies and Oman allowing them to have six points in the points table of Super Six stage. Zimbabwe won all four out of four games in the group stage of the World Cup 2023 Qualifier stage, and in the first match of the Super Six they defeated Oman by 14 runs, but yesterday Zimbabwe faced their first loss against Sri Lanka in a Super Six game.

Here in this article, we will see if Zimbabwe can still qualify for ODI WC 2023 (or) not.

Super Six Points Table of ODI WC 2023 Qualifiers:
Sri Lanka - 8 points (4 games)
Zimbabwe - 6 points (4 games)

Scotland - 4 points (3 games)
Netherlands - 2 points (3 games)
West Indies - 0 points (3 games)
Oman - 0 points (3 games)

Note:- Above pts table is updated as of 2nd July 2023

Zimbabwe will play their remaining one game against Scotland.

If Zimbabwe loses their remaining match against Scotland, then they stand at six points.

- Scotland can win their remaining two games and reach 8 points in the table

Thus, Zimbabwe may stand eliminated if they lose their last game of super six stage. Hence, it is better they defeat Scotland (on 4th July) and confirm their spot in ODI WC 2023 along with Sri Lanka.
