Pakistan’s star pacer Hassan Ali condemned terrorist attacks on Jammu and Kashmir’s Reasi district that took place a few days ago. On Sunday, June 9, a bus carrying several pilgrims to the religious Vaishno Devi shrine was attacked by a group of terrorists causing it to fall into a ditch. The attacks that are believed to be carried out by four Pakistani terrorists killed nine people, including toddlers as well as injured three dozen others.
The Pakistan cricket star expressed his solidarity with the victims subjected to the attacks and shared a story on his Instagram. The story had ‘All Eyes on Vaishno Devi Attack’ written over it. Notably, Ali is married to Samiya Arzoo, who hails from India. Ali’s Instagram story went viral and fans appreciated him for his gesture towards the neighbouring nation.
Notably, the Jammu and Kashmir Police released a sketch of a terrorist involved in the attack on the passenger bus and announced a ₹20 lakh reward for information about him. A police spokesperson said, "Reasi police announce a reward of INR 20 lakh for any fruitful information about the whereabouts of the terrorist involved in the recent attack on the yatri bus in the area of Pouni.”
Coming back to the cricketer, Ali is not a part of Pakistan’s squad currently participating in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024 in the USA and West Indies. The 29-year-old participated in the T20I series against Ireland and New Zealand but failed to deliver a decent performance to guarantee his selection in the marquee tournament.
