Former India cricketer MS Dhoni is regarded as one of the greatest names to have been a part of the global cricket fraternity. With a fan following of more than billions, Dhoni enjoys the stature of being one of the most loved Indian cricketers. Every time the 42-year-old has made sure that he meets everyone with warmth. Recently , a CISF officer shared his experience of meeting MS Dhoni, and it is enough to make any Dhoni fan’s day.

The Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) officer, posted at the Ranchi Airport described his meeting with MS Dhoni as ‘a deeply inspiring and unforgettable moment.’ The CISF Sub-inspector, Satish Pandey, talked about his brief interaction with the nation’s favourite online and said, “The hospitality Dhoni extended to me was nothing short of exceptional; it was a next-level experience.” 

Pandey said that he asked the Chennai Super Kings skipper questions on life skills and the responses that the 42-year-old gave resonated deeply with him. The CISF officer said, “As I asked him questions about life skills, his responses resonated deeply with me. My first question revolved around how he manages to remain calm and composed, regardless of wins, losses, and life’s challenges. Dhoni’s reply was profound yet simple: ‘I just want to enjoy the moment because I know this moment will not come again in life. I want to live it.’ 

The CISF SI also added, “I inquired about handling pressure and life problems. His answer reflected his wisdom: ‘It’s upto you how you want to live your life. Let go of things that are not in your control. Dwelling on them only hurts you and hinders your progress. Work on what you have now and make the best of it.’”

Notably, the 2011 World Cup-winning captain led his side to their fifth IPL trophy in 2023. After a successful campaign in the cash-rich league, ‘Captain Cool’ is spending time with his family in his hometown in Jharkhand.
