Indian cricketer Virat Kohli is widely regarded for his aggressive batting style and must-win attitude, but off the pitch, the former Indian skipper is known to be a humble and down-to-earth person. Due to this reason, Kohli is considered a perfect brand ambassador of the game and is lauded by many greats of the game.
In one of the recent interactions, Vivek Razdan, a former Indian cricketer revealed an interesting anecdote between Virat Kohli and West Indies' great Sir Vivian Richards, which left the latter highly impressed. While speaking at Sportskeeda, Razdan shared that cricketers and production crew were travelling from Antigua to the next destination during the West Indies tour in 2019. When Viv. entered the flight, he wanted to place his bag in one of the overhead lockers.
"But, all of them were occupied with players' luggage as they entered first, so Viv looked at a couple of lockers but didn't find any. Kohli noticed that, and he immediately walked up from his seat and rearranged the luggage of the other players. Eventually, he removed his bag, kept it below the seat ahead of him, and put Vivian Richards' bag in that space," Razdan revealed. Highly impressed with Kohli's gesture, the West Indies great tapped Kohli's shoulder and thanked him for helping him out.
Notably, Kohli's last century came on the same tour, and since then, the former Indian cricketer has been struggling to reach triple figures. However, Kohli looked in good touch during the game against Gujarat Titans, where he fought hard to score a half-century. However, Kohli's half-century could not help Bangalore to win the game as the Titans pulled off a thrilling victory.
