Pommie Mbangwa, the former Zimbabwean player, is one of the best commentators in the world of cricket currently, and he is currently lending his expert voice to the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025. During his stay in India, the 48-year-old shared a picture of a restroom door with a signage of “He/They” gender pronouns with a confused face emoji on his official Instagram account recently, which led to mixed responses in the comments section, including one from Kevin Pietersen.

Notably, Pommie Mbangwa is working with Star Sports India on the English commentary panel in the IPL 2025, apart from appearing regularly on Cricbuzz’s show for the tournament. Over the years, the Zimbabwean has earned a reputation to not only add grandeur to a big moment in a cricket match, but also gives in-depth insight about players and their performances as well, making him a versatile commentator.

Kevin Pietersen caused quite a stir as he sent out a “face vomiting” emoji to “He/They”

As far as one of the recent posts from Pommie Mbangwa on his Instagram is concerned, the reaction from Kevin Pietersen caused quite a stir as he sent out a “face vomiting” emoji to the “He/They” gender pronouns signage on the restroom door. While the comment from the former England cricketer, who was born in South Africa, is indicative of his disgust towards the gender pronouns, which have gone mainstream in the recent years, it could be a spur of a moment thing from him as well.

Moreover, in one of his recent appearances on the Cricbuzz show after Chennai Super Kings (CSK) went down tamely against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai, Pommie Mbangwa spoke about how the five-time IPL champions should still believe in their plans. He was quoted as saying, “CSK must back their blueprint, not borrow from others.”
